There is speculation that second time borrowers on Prosper represent a better risk. They have already paid off one loan and hence have shown credit worthiness. I am not sure I buy this, but I can play along…
How many 2nd time loans are there currently? 71.
How many are late? 3.
3/71 = 4.2%
And many of these loans are very young… So I don’t think we can answer the question just yet, but it is an interesting theory. One possible hole would be what if an HR wanted to get 25K and run… Usually, he can’t get a loan for that much in the first place, so he takes out a smaller amount and then pays it back… Now that he is credit worthy he takes out the 25K loan… And leave town.
That being said here is a link to all active listings from second time borrowers currently on Prosper. Please decide for yourself if these are worthy of your bid…
