I have been an enthusiastic supporter of p2p lending from my first encounter. This week I take another step in my p2p lending adventure.
I am the new Editor-in-Chief of the Prosper Blog. I will occasional write content, but mostly my duties are sourcing content, editing content, moderating comments, and responding to comments.
This job is taken as an independent contractor under NDA and I retain all control over my sites (including editorial). I fully expect to continue covering all aspects of p2p lending including competitors of Prosper. While I will try to remain objective, I expect and hope my readers will keep me honest.
There will be a post on the Prosper Blog tomorrow with the announcement.
I am particularly excited because I have been able to engage LazyMan of Lazy Man and Money and Lazy Man and Health as the featured writer (once a week). I have been a big fan of LazyMan for some time.
I have the full support of Prosper Marketplace, Inc. and expect to produce an excellent blog in the areas of personal finance and p2p lending.
I hope everyone will continue to follow along into this brave new world of p2p lending.

Congratulations! This sounds like good news to me. I also hope it means more meat and less fluff. I told John Witchel a few weeks ago that I really miss his blog.
JWitchel Blog: Important, timely topics like collections, new features, etc.
New Prosper Blog: “Save money over the holidays by sleeping on Uncle Fred’s couch instead of staying at a hotel!”
We need more timely, relevant communication from Prosper–on the real issues.
Thanks… While I completely understand your point of view, the blog is not going to become all prosper all the time. That being said I hope we will be able to source more Prosper related content from inside and outside the walls of ProsperHQ.
Congratulations!
Actually, I wouldn’t mind submitting occasional editorial myself, if you are interested. Check out my blog, and email me if it’s something that is of interest to you.
Congratulations,
it would be nice to see if John Witchel could report his explanation of why Prosper doesn’t pay interest and other topics to the Prosper Blog. they would be invaluable additions.
Congrats Kevin. You’re the right pick for the job.
