What happened to the Prosper community?  The new Prosper forums are difficult to use…  Where did the community go?

It turns out that some industrious soul has archived the old Prosper forum…  To see an archive of the old official Prosper forum check out the site http://www.prosperreport.com/

Another p2p lending forum is the P2P No Bank Forum.  While it is still in infancy, both LendingClub and GlobeFunder representatives have been known to respond to inquiries.

Also, many (most?) of the old forum regulars are at Pro$pers.org forum.  With the recent official prosper forum change it appears that more & more users are switching to Prospers.org.  I personally haven’t used this forum very often, but I think there is value here, largely because the discussion is unmoderated, and a wide variety of opinions are freely expressed.

If you venture into the lion’s den be prepared to fend for yourself.  Many of the reasons why Prosper change their forum are in evidence here.  Topics get diverted and reasoned discussion is often met with a strong headwind (some would say passionate arguments).

However, many reasoned, helpful, experienced lenders, including some of Prosper’s harshest critics, can be found here… To name all the usual suspects would take too long, but here is my short short short list: HollowOak, Leporello, LoanChimp, zcommodore, Fred93, cubbiesnextyr, Shenandoah, traveler505, 112233, epetroel, tash, NewHorizon, onthefence, TokyoJoe, Urbi_et_Orbi, and, of course, the irrepressible and inimitable (thank heaven!) bamalucky.
