I received an email from a regular reader (chrisfs)… He let me know about this late last week, but due to my blog problems I have waited til now to post it…
The screen he is talking about can be found here. It may or may not point to the page he references, but at the time of this post it still appears as he suggests…
Here is his email — subject: Breaking news, Prosper forums down in anticipation of new forums
Hey,
Happy Thanksgiving,
I just popped over the the Prosper forums and got a big screen saying that the Forums are down in anticipation of new forums.
Admittedly, I don’t visit them as much as I used to — I was totally caught by surprise. I can only imagine the reactions some are having (oh no they banned everyone!).
Speculations/hopes for the new forums.
Forum ID linked to Prosper ID , end to sockpuppets (though one forum should be kept for people who haven’t joined to post questions), in fact I posted that Petri Dish a couple months ago mini signature bar, similar to Lendingstats or wiseclerk which shows lenders loans totals etc
Troll ratings ala Daily Kos? (though this is a two edged sword)
Thanks for the info chris… happy thanksgiving to you too!
