Leporello Provides The Genius (misunderstood)

Leporello has been using ProProsper since the beginning.  He was a sounding board and a voice of reason.  He has done a number of very interesting research projects with the query analyzer.  2 of these projects are publicly available via ProProsper: What Groups Does a Lender Really Support? and Leporello Group Ratings

What Groups Does a Lender Really Support is the epitome of Prosper groups.  Who cares what groups you say you support?  Show me with your bids and loans.  The tool matches a lender to the groups in which they have loans.  Ranking them by most money lent.  For example (RateLadder Group Support), my largest group is the No Group at 63.2% of my loans.  Dwarfing my number 2, Small Business and Self Employed, at 3.6%.

Leporello Group Ratings are quantitative, rankable, and regularly updated.  He spent a number of iterations making sure they are the best they can be.  Here is the methodology in his own words: Toward a Quantitative Methodology for Rating Prosper Groups

I will leave the misunderstood explanation out of this post, other than to say that sometimes Leporello and Prosper don’t see eye to eye.  I think this is a shame as he has nothing but love for p2p lending.  He has put his money where is mouth is.  He is perhaps the only super advanced forum member with a dollars invested to forum posts ratio of greater than 1 (if there are others his is the highest ratio).  The Prosper world is a better place for having Leporello.
