New Design and Fewer Ads (no interstitials)
Just finished putting the final touches on my new design and I have decided to remove the interstitials.
The header is now white, there are blue instead of pink headers, and couple of other minor things.
Also, the interstitials that would hijack the page while you were reading and show an ad have been turned off. I found those to be very annoying and never relevant. To top it off I was only paid $0.01 or less each time one was shown. I am not ruling out using them again, but it would need to be for significantly more money… Yahoo gets like 1-2 million for 1 day of interstitials. That would be worth it.
What do you think?
Edit: while viewing my blog with firefox I just got another interstitial… turning the setting off must take some time to go into effect. I apologize for any interstitial you may run into.

“Fewer” ads, not “less” ads.
Thanks… I tend to always fight my grammer.
Hello,
I’ve been following your blog for quite some time now, and I like the new look! I recently started my own finance related blog over at thepiggybanker.com. I was wondering if you might be interested in a link exchange? I feel that your readers could definitely benefit from the information I have on my site, and vice versa. I would have sent you an email or used a contact form but I couldn’t seem to find one. This is something you should definitely fix, as I’ve gotten quite a few advertising proposals through email!
In any case keep up the great blog!
Best,
Mark
I like the new look. I’m not sure I remember seeing interstitials on your blog. Maybe they were blocked by my browser or maybe I’m used to ignoring them. I’m generally a fan of fewer ads for a clean page but I know how that competes with a need to monetize the blog somehow.
