Over the weekend Prosper had major maintenance.  It has not gone smoothly.

A scheduled maintenance period from midnight Friday night until noon on Saturday.  The site came back up on time.  However, shortly thereafter and intermittently throughout the weekend the site was back under maintenance.

Even now there is a message:

We are aware that potions of the site are intermittently unaccessible(sic).  We are working on the problem.

I sympathize with the Prosper system admin.  Upgrade can be tricky.  I am sure they will have the problem under control shortly.
