Prosper.com Crosses 40 Million Dollars in Loans
March 1st, 2007 | Prosper.com, Statistics
Today is the day of stats… I find the marketplace info today truly astounding. It took less than 2 months (1/10/07 to 2/27/07) to go from 30 million to 40 million. The pace is quickening.
Here is the maketplace data from today’s data dump.

Lending Club Loan Volume Misquoted in National Newspaper I encourage all reporters to check facts. In the p2p lending space, both major US p2p lending companies provide data and this data can usually corroborate or debunk basic marketplace claims. I was reading a recent Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article on p2p lending: The credit crunch: How did it happen and where...... -

Are those rates lender rates or borrower rates? It matters to make judgments on the group’s effectiveness.

I don’t know for sure as I didn’t generate these stats. They came directly from the data dump. I was going to look up the answer in the data dump documentation, but Prosper is down for maintenance right now.
It looks like the historical table matches up with trailing 30-days lender rates.
